Jack Kanel owned and built ADVANCE from 1951 to 1984 when he sold it to Victor Anderson Jr. Victor, his son Victor III and grandson Victor IV still own and operate the company as a family owned business. Many of the awnings Jack made are still in use, such as those on the “Pantry”, a Los Angeles restaurant.
